
A 39-year-old self-employed resident of Kitty, Georgetown, identified as Shawn Maxwell, is hospitalized with multiple stab wounds following an altercation which occurred at approximately 09:00h on Rosemary Lane, South Cummingsburg (Tiger Bay), on Tuesday.
According to reports, Maxwell was visiting an ‘Ital’ shop located at 9-10 Rosemary Lane to purchase food when he encountered the suspect.
The two men engaged in a confrontation regarding stolen parts from Maxwell’s trailer, which is typically parked in the Tiger Bay area.
During the heated argument, the suspect brandished a flip knife and inflicted several stab wounds on Maxwell before fleeing south along Rosemary Lane.
Maxwell was rushed to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, where he was examined and subsequently admitted.
His condition is currently described as serious, with stab wounds reported on the back of his neck and right hand.
Police have processed the crime scene and are actively searching for the suspect, who is known only by the name ‘Sean.’
Several individuals have been questioned as the investigation continues.
